Animal Kingdom

We did Animal Kingdom on Saturday (February 23rd).

Our family got there ahead of the rest of the group. We wanted to wait for everyone else to get there to do the Safari, so we did Expedition Everest by taking turns in the single rider line. It had a twist I wasn't expecting that made it pretty cool, but it also made me a little sick. (I must be getting old!)

Then we headed over to DinoLand U.S.A. Corbyn loved TriceraTop Spin and it wasn't crowded, so we did it over and over again. By then the rest of the family had arrived. The kids played in the Boneyard while some of the adults did DINOSAUR. (We all agreed it was basically Indiana Jones, but with a different story.)

We found a fun place to eat lunch - Yak and Yeti. It had Asian food which was a nice break from the normal sandwiches, burgers, and pizza that we'd been eating so much of.

After lunch we used our Fast Pass for the Kilimanjaro Safaris.

It was fun to see the animals in more their natural habitat than you would at a zoo.

Right after that we had a Fast Pass for Kali River Rapids. (We did especially good at using Fast Passes that day!) Corbyn was just barely tall enough to ride.

When we were getting on some people handed us a few ponchos. We put one on Corbyn and it was a good thing we did because he was sitting next to me and I got soaked - we're talking it looked like I had jumped in a pool with my clothes on! It was a hot day, so I didn't mind being wet other than my hair looked totally awesome when it dried. But Corbyn probably wouldn't have liked being that wet.

We road the train out to the petting zoo. Blake loved petting the animals, but Corbyn not so much.

We got a family picture (the only one of all 9 of us the whole trip and of course Corbyn was asleep) by the Tree of Life.

We ate dinner at the Rainforest Cafe which has become a tradition for us when we are at a Disney Resort (be it Disneyland or Disney World).

And then we called it a day and declared Animal Kingdom done!

You're such a good sport for getting drench! Truth be told I HATE when that happens. A little water, no problem- but soaked through- no!!

Your Disney vacation looks awesome and that everyone had a great time! So jealous!
