A couple weeks before Valentine's Day we made hearts (out of contact paper and tissue paper) for FHE.
I hung them in Corbyn and Peyton's bedroom window - I think they enjoyed having a decoration in their room since I normally only decorate our main level.
For Peyton's valentines I added love Peyton to this printable and taped it on a bag of popcorn. (We bought a big box of microwave popcorn from Costco about a year ago and we weren't eating them fast enough, so I thought this would be a good way to use some of them up!)
I helped with Peyton's class party and it was so fun to see her in her class. (I help all the time in Corbyn's class, but this was my first time helping in Peyton's.)
It was a nightmare getting Corbyn to write his name on all his valentines last year, but thankfully it was no big deal this year.
I printed off some Star Wars valentines from here and attached a glow stick.
I also helped with Corbyn's class party. I was in charge of coming up with a game - I was planning on doing Bingo, but found out another mom was doing that, so I switched to Don't Eat Pete. I found a printable for it here.
Valentine's Day was on a Sunday this year. Rog had a Priesthood meeting at 7:00 am and then meetings all morning, so we didn't see him until we got to church.
The kids each found a little toy in their mailbox. Logan got a Dumbo Little People Wheelies Car.
Peyton got a Lego Friends Wishing Fountain set and Corbyn got a Lego Mixel.
The kids also got a bucket of Perler Beads and a set of 4 pegboards because Perler Beads are insanely popular in our neighborhood right now.
They have spent countless hours making creations with them. A few days they didn't even use any of their allotted screen time because they were so busy playing with them. I think they've already used at least half the bucket!
I bought myself a jar of Biscoff for my mailbox. I wasn't expecting anything from Rog, but when I woke up I found that he had left little hearts around the house with reasons why he (or different objects) loves me.
I got Rog some Reese's Pieces with a printable from here.
I was feeling festive, so I made myself an egg-in-a-hole (with a heart cookie cutter) for breakfast.
And while I was at it, I made some scrambled eggs and heart toast for the kids.
Cailey made us a fancy dinner and I made heart donuts for dessert. (Totally worth buying the special heart donut pan for!)
Then it was time for a picture of my Valentine cuties in their shirts. (Oh Corbyn, you'd think by now you'd know how to smile normal for pictures.)
After we were done, he posed himself like this (with a normal smile even) and told me to take a picture. Lol.
The next day we had a Pinkalicious cupcake party with the Howards and the Woods for FHE.
After everyone left I decorated the leftover cupcakes (and tried my very best not to think about how the frosting was probably seriously unsanitary by this point).
The next Sunday we dipped strawberry wafers and played a little Valentine Bingo and then declared Valentine's Day celebrated!
