Here are all the books I read in 2021!
Books I Read
1. Frontier Follies by Ree Drummond. I love pretty much everything Ree writes and this book was no exception!
2. The Royal We by Heather Cocks. I started reading The Heir Affair and quickly realized I didn't remember this book well enough to read it, so I reread this one first.
3. The Heir Affair by Heather Cocks.
4. Funny in Farsi: A Memoir of Growing up Iranian in America by Firoozeh Dumas.
5. The Two Lives of Lydia Bird by Josie Silver.
6. This Time Next Year by Sophie Cousens.
7. The Nature of Fragile Things by Susan Meissner. Probably my favorite book of 2021!
8. Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. Not quite as good as The Martian, but definitely worth reading.
9. The Vanderbeekers of 141st Street by Karina Van Glaser. Started this one in November even though I should have waited until December (because it takes place the week before Christmas), but kept going because I didn't want to stop!
10. Vanderbeekers and the Hidden Garden by Karina Van Glaser.

11. The Switch by Beth O'Leary.
12. Three Keys by Kelly Yang.
13. The Storied Life of AJ Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin. Really enjoyed this one!
14. You Have a Match by Emma Lord. This was a very cute story.
15. Party Girl by Rachel Hollis. Loved this series by Rachel Hollis.
16. Sweet Girl by Rachel Hollis.
17. Smart Girl by Rachel Hollis.
18. Passion on Park Avenue by Lauren Layne. And then this series by Lauren Layne was excellent too!
19. Love on Lexington Avenue by Lauren Layne.
20. Marriage on Madison Avenue by Lauren Layne.
21. The Good Sister by Sally Hepworth. I think I liked The Mother-in-Law more, but I enjoyed this one too. Love a good unexpected ending!
22. Now That I've Found You by Kristina Forest.
23. Lucky Caller by Emma Mills.
24. Float Plan by Trish Doller.
25. Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Listened to this series, so I could read (or listen to) The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, but wasn't feeling it when I started. I might come back and try it again. But in any case, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this series again. It had been long enough that I didn't remember most of what happens, so it was almost new to me.
26. Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins.
27. Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins.
28. In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren. Finished the year listening to two delightful Christmas chick lit books. Both were excellent!

32. Muggie Maggie by Beverly Cleary.

35. We Dream of Space by Erin Entrada Kelly. We all enjoyed this Newberry Honor book about 3 teens and the tragic launch of the Challenger.
36. When You Trap a Tiger by Tae Keller. This was the winner of the 2021 Newberry medal. I'd say it was good, not great.
37. Strider by Beverly Cleary.
38. Mitch and Amy by Beverly Cleary.
39. Savvy by Ingrid Law. This book was not my favorite. I pushed through for the kids, but was glad when we finished.
40. All Thirteen: The Incredible Cave Rescue of the Thai Boys' Soccer Team by Christina Soontornvat. We all loved this one and are excited to watch the documentary on Disney+.
41. Ways to Make Sunshine by Renee Watson.
42. Ways to Grow Love by Renee Watson.
43. Wishmakers by Tyler Whitesides. This book was really not for me. I pushed through and finished reading it to the kids, but told them they'd have to read the sequel on their own.
44. Wait Till Helen Comes by Mary Downing Hahn. This was a favorite of mine growing up and I enjoyed reading my copy (that I'd saved all these years) to Corbyn and Peyton.
45. Snow Treasure by Marie McSwigan. An older book (the copy we got from the library was starting to fall apart), but we enjoyed it.
46. Christmas Pig by J.K. Rowling. Not as good as Harry Potter (duh), but a fun Christmas chapter book nonetheless. It has a really sweet ending.
Books We Listened To
47. President of the Whole 5th Grade by Sherri Winston.
48. A Good Kind of Trouble by Lisa Moore Ramee.
49. Houdini and Me by Dan Gutman. A fiction book that includes some real information about Houdini. It was interesting to learn more about him.
50. Harry Potter and the Sourcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling. Started listening to this on Harry Potter's birthday and I wasn't intending for us to listen to all the Harry Potter books, but once you start again, it's hard to stop!
51. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling.
52. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling.
53. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling.
That is a lot of books! Thanks for reading to our kids.
