1 Year

I finally got all the kids in for well child visits at the end of July. It was way late for all the other kids, but right on time for Easton. (He had a virtual visit at 9 months instead of in person.)

Easton's 1 year stats:

Weight: 23 pounds, 15 ounces (85th percentile)
Height: 31 inches (88th percentile)

Easton at 1 year:

*Is walking like a pro!
*Waves hi and bye.
*Nods yes.
*Finally learned to go down the stairs safely.
*Is finally sleep trained. Just in time to move out of our room and into the boy room.
*Loves Otter Pops, rocks, and his shoes.
*Is happiest when he is outside.
*Loves playing in the water.
*Is afraid of anyone who doesn't live in our house.

Water baby!

My hiking buddy.

😍😴😍

He looks like he's giving Axel a nice hug, but really he's about to tackle him to the ground. 😂

Those cheeks and rolls!

This water was freezing, but he loved it so much!

The Martyns watched the kids for us, so we could go on a date. Easton was ok, but only as long as Peyton was in sight.

He fell asleep on her before we got back.

How do babies sleep like this?!

We got a new kitchen table and chairs and Easton supervised the assembly effort.

Getting some wiggles out on the way to Utah.

I had to get a picture of his teeth before his two front teeth grew in. Vampire baby!

Looking cute on his first 4th of July.

We did some sparklers and stuff in front of Taylor and Martha's house. Easton was only interested in the water.

We put him to bed in Jude's crib while we watched a (pretty impressive) neighborhood firework show.

I have no words. 😍

Rog was a rockstar and carried him all the way up to the Delicate Arch (and then back down) in the heat. We started early, but it was already in the high 90s by the time we finished!

Made it to the top!

So nice to cool off in the pool after.

Brave water baby!

He let Grandpa hold him for a minute!

Exploring the red rocks at Goblin Valley.

Loving the St. George splash pads.

He's about 9 months older than his cousin Jude.

Checking out the ducks at the BYU duck pond.

His birthday is right in between Papa George and Grandma Lori's birthdays, so we celebrated all of their birthdays while we were in Utah with Mickey cupcakes.

He loved playing with these ball popper guns in grandma and grandpa's basement.

He got sprayed by a sprinkler on one of our stops on the way back to Oregon. 😂

Visiting Ribsy at the Beverly Cleary Sculpture Garden in Portland.

Corbyn got in his carseat and Easton thought it was so funny!

Twinning with Dad.

And again!

😂

We had a little scare when he flipped over in this tube right when we first put him in. I didn't let go of the tube the rest of the time he was in it.

He was such a good hiker all on his own this time.

Pirate Easton. The kids thought it was fun to dress him up.

12 month pictures on his birthday.

And then a shirt change! I am 1!

We had a little COVID-style party on his birthday. (I'll do a post about that someday!) I went all out with a huge balloon arch since it was my last 1st birthday.

We had to have Otter Pops since they are his favorite!

Happy 1 year baby boy!

11 Months

Easton at 11 months:

* Is getting 2 teeth on top (not his two front teeth, but the ones next to them).
*Loves clapping.
*Is walking more and more each day.
*Has discovered his voice and screeches very loudly whenever he wants to get our attention.
*Loves putting on hats.

Easton's 11th month in pictures:

"Helping" unload the dishwasher and standing!

Little head, big helmet.

I was trying to get some pizza dough made and in the fridge for dinner before putting him down for his morning nap. He was fussy, so I was holding him and the sound of the mixer was putting him to sleep. 😍

I put him down on the floor and he stayed asleep! 😂

Trampoline cutie.

We were playing Bocce Ball for our FHE activity on the front lawn and he was cheering us on. 👏

Another time falling asleep while Mom was in the shower.

Rocking Logan's Woody Hat.

Wishing he could help put the new sod in our backyard.

He loves sitting in this little chair.

My strawberry picking buddy. This was actually not very easy!

Strawberry cutie!

Unloading his favorite cupboard and helping himself to some mini M&Ms.

Giving his cousin a kiss. Axel didn't actually appreciate this very much.

Playing with a balloon. This was right before he learned to walk.

Had to put this hat on him again when he was wearing his Woody pajamas.

Another day, another helmet.

This was the first time I took him into a store in MONTHS. He couldn't figure out what I was wearing on my face and kept trying to pull it off.

Escaping the rain under an umbrella with my buddy.

Some major screeching at dinner. The kids were not happy about this new development.

First time playing with the water table.

He loved our Wet and Wild Wednesdays.

Brothers. 😍

This was after he figured out the stairs were dangerous, but before he figured out how to turn himself around to go down them.

My hiking buddy.

First time going down the BIG slide.

First time trying an Otter Pop. He loves them and will try to get one anytime the freezer is open.

First time using our kayak that Santa brought us for Christmas.

Family movie night. This moment lasted about 30 seconds. 😂

Walking! This was 2 days before he turned 11 months.

He has the best big sister!

Summer cutie.

Happy 11 months little buddy!
