I am a VERY charitable person

So it's 7:05 pm... We have to close the month by noon tomorrow... I am DONE with everything I have to do for the month... But yet I am here at work, helping my coworkers... I am a VERY charitable person.

I don't mind because if I were in their shoes, I would want help. But I deserve a little credit right. :)

You know what I like most about your...

nose ... It's in the middle of your face.
ears .... They're on the side of your face.
fingers ... They're on your hands.
toes ... They're on your feet.
hair ... It's on your head.

You get the idea.

Rog and I used to play this game all the time, but I had completely forgotten about it until Sunday night when he started to play it with me again. Yes, we are nerds. But at least we can be nerds together!

My soccer man

Roger has been playing on our ward coed intramural soccer team. They are in the intermediate division, but a lot of the players had never really played before (including Roger). They have played 3 games and haven't won one, but I think they are getting better. Maybe they'll get bumped down to the beginning division for the tournament and dominate. But doesn't he just look so cute in his soccer gear?

Chain of Giving

I entered this on Ashley's blog, so now I need to pass it along to you! The first 5 people to comment on this post (and continue the chain on your blog) will receive something made by me! It will be different for everyone, so I'm not going to specify anything. You'll just have to be surprised. :) Good luck!

I don't believe in Dinosaurs

Ok, I believe there were dinosaurs somewhere in this universe at some time, but I don't believe they lived here on earth. I won't go to dinosaur museums because I just think they'e silly. This being said, I really am enjoying our dino chicken nuggets! YUMMY! And they are so fun to eat.

Day of Love

All the computers at APX got infected with some sort of a virus today. Apparently they have a fix, but it won't work for a few hours. Because I'm lucky or something, my computer seems to have been hit harder than any of the others. My P Drive (the network drive where we save EVERYTHING) has disappeared. I can't do any work. This is awesome. NOT! So I thought I would do a post about our day of love to kill some time while I am waiting for it to be fixed.

The day started with us sleeping in. We were planning on going for a nice run, but it was practically a blizzard outside, so we decided to be lazy instead. Then we were going to see Bolt at the dollar theatre, but the line was around the corner. So we watched You've Got Mail and I scrapbooked (Rog was super excited about this).

Our celebration of the day of love actually started when we went to Applebees (my favorite restaurant) and then to our stake Valentine's Day dance. The dance was fun, but a little humorous. It was a good thing Emily and Zack were there to have a good laugh with us. After about an hour of the dance, we decided that we had had enough of that. So we went to Emily and Zack's to watch Get Smart and eat yummy sugar cookies. Overall it was good day.

We decided we didn't need to do gifts because Rog isn't so much into Valentine's Day. He did carve me a heart in the snow and then a nice lady in our complex helped him outline it in red food coloring. Unfortunately it got covered up when our parking lot was plowed. Good thing we got a picture first.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

You know how accountants have "busy season?" Well luckily our "busy season" as accountants at APX is relatively calm especially compared to the Big 4 firms. (YUCK!!) That being said, this week is my "busy season." We have to close January while getting ready for our auditors to come the first week of March. I ate lunch and dinner here and will stay as long as I can take it. And I will probably be doing that all week. If I'm lucky I won't have to come in on Saturday.

As I am stuck here waiting for my AR Aging report to run (it takes at least a half hour), I thought I would convert my blog from Valentine's Day to St. Patrick's Day. I have always liked St. Patrick's Day because my birthday is in March and it is the closest holiday. And now I have my own personal leprechaun, so I like it even more!

If you were anticipating my Valentine's Day post, don't worry... It is still coming. My pictures are stuck on my camera and I can't get them off here at work.

Scans

When Diana and Jason got married last June, my brother Jared and I put together a slideshow for them. I was in charge of picking out the pictures and Jared was in charge of the technical stuff. In the process of going through all of the pictures my mom took of us growing up, I set aside the good ones to scan into a digital format. Well, 8 months later I am finally getting around to scanning them in. Here are some of the better ones.

Cousins - Alisha, me, Diana, and Brady (I love Alisha's glasses and Brady's Western tie!)

With my Grandma Ford. My birthday is March 5th and hers is March 7th.

Big Chief in the making.

With my BFF Amber. Gotta love the side ponytail I'm sporting!

Finally tall enough to ride!

My Grandpa Ford, Diana, me, and my dad.

After going through all these pictures, it's pretty clear that Jared was the cutest one of us Ririe children.

2:00 am

Chief: Rarrrr!

Rog: Are you awake?

Chief: Yes

Rog: What was that?

Chief: Uhuh...

Your guess is as good as mine.

I love games!

I love board games... pretty much all of them. The thing is that most games are more fun with more than two players. So I'm always trying to find people to play games with us. This weekend we had people over every night to play games with us. Hence it was the best weekend EVER!

I'm not very picky about what games we play, so when we play with new people, I often get addicted to the new game we play. A few months ago we played the game For Sale with a couple in our ward that has since moved away. Now every time we pass a game store, I look to see if they have that game. It's pretty certain that we will eventually buy it. This weekend was no exception to that rule. We played Chicken Foot with Emily and Zack and although that game isn't new to most people (so I'm told), it was new to me and I really liked it. Looks like we'll have to add some dominos to our list of games to buy.

While I like to play new games, I also seem to get stuck on a particular game and want to play it over and over again. For the longest time I was addicted to Settlers of Catan. Now I have moved on to Ticket to Ride. After playing new games Friday and Saturday night, I was craving a good game of Ticket to Ride. Thanks to Diana and Jason, I got my wish Sunday after we had dinner with them.

As I said, we are always up for a game night, so if you share my love for games, we'll have to have you over!

Anything for FREE food!

You might have seen this ad during the Superbowl...

Rog and I would do anything for free food, so we were definitely there with the masses Tuesday morning. It was quite the adventure!

P.S. Hogi Yogi is having its 20 year birthday this week... frozen yogurts are $1.20 and sandwiches and chicken bowls are $3.20. Just FYI...

Superbowl Party

Zack and Emily Pugh threw a kickin' party for the Superbowl and we were lucky enough to get an invite. Emily made a bean dip and a very yummy fruit pizza. Rog and I brought a cranberry-pineapple punch.

We originally had this punch on Thanksgiving at Roger's cousin's house. I thought I had remembered the recipe, so we attempted to make it for our Christmas Eve celebration. Unfortunately I thought it was supposed to have club soda, but it was actually ginger ale. My family drank it, but Rog and I knew the difference. So this time we got the correct recipe. And with the correct recipe, everyone loved it!

I've never really seriously watched the superbowl. I usually just enjoy the commercials. But this year I decided to pick a team and actually watch the game. I picked the Steelers because the Cardinals had more players from the U, so it was a good game for me. We also enjoyed watching the Office after the game. It was such a fun night! Thank you Pughs!

Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures, but here is one I stole from Emily's blog. :)

A little piece of heaven

Saturday Craft

Coincidentally my friend Emily and I both have the same last initial (since getting married) and also the same comforter... So Emily picked up the supplies for this cute craft. After finishing this craft, we watched Mamma Mia while Emily sewed some curtains and I worked on a quilt I started months ago. Now that I have a craft buddy, I'm hoping to finish it up soon.
