Rog and Chief Phillips: 2 Months

Easton's 2 month stats:

Weight: 14 pounds, 9 ounces (91st percentile)

Height: 24.75 inches (98th percentile)

He beat out Logan for our BIGGEST baby at 2 months by a whole pound!

Easton at 2 months:

*Is very content to lay on a blanket, but hates when we roll him over for tummy time.

*Smiles with his whole face and body.

*Makes the most adorable cooing noises.

*Is a great eater.

*Loves when we do the choo choo train or make his legs run.

*Had a terrible case of cradle cap that spread to his ears, face, and neck. I got the part of the rash in his hair under control quickly with some Head & Shoulders shampoo, but it took me a long time to figure out it was cradle cap on his ears, face, and neck. I was thinking it was either baby acne or eczema and I tried doing nothing, Cortizone 10, and Aquaphor lotion, but none of those things worked. Randomly one day I tried using some of the Head & Shoulders shampoo on his ears and that part of the rash cleared up overnight. I was very hesitant to try it on his face and neck, but after the great success on his ears I gave it a go and the rash completely disappeared like magic. After some googling I read that cradle cap can spread like that, but I really had to search to find that, so I'm guessing it's not very common. I edited his rash out of most of his pictures, but for about a month he looked pretty terrible in person!

*Was still wearing 0-3 month clothes and size 1 diapers, but moved on to 3-6 month clothes and size 2 diapers soon after his 2 month birthday. I returned $60 worth of size 1 diapers to Target since everyone gave me that size and he wasn't wearing them very long at all.

*Is the king of blowouts!

Easton's 2nd month in pictures:

He started the month out with skinny arms and chicken legs, but grew like a weed and was a huge chunk by the end of the month.

I don't usually dress my kids in tank tops, but this one was too cute to pass up. Little brother hanging out with big brother.

First BYU football game (watched on TV). We played the U and got destroyed. 😓

First visit to Trillium Lake. He hung out in the shade on a towel the whole time.

This was at the beginning of the month when tummy time still put him to sleep. By the end of the month, nothing infuriated him more than being left on his tummy!

Blessing day. (I'll post more about this in another post.)

Most of the time when I would put something next to Easton at this point, he would basically ignore it.

But this day he totally attacked Mickey and it was perfect because he was wearing his Mickey outfit!

3rd wheeling it on our date night.

This was his favorite place to snuggle up and fall asleep after a good feeding. It was also my favorite place for him to be.

I dressed him in this outfit that Logan wore for his first Easter for church and he was not a fan.

He was so happy when I took off his shirt and pants and let him just be in his onesie after church.

I traded in an old carseat and got him this bouncer. I always wanted a simple one like this, but never could find the right one for the other kids. It's been the perfect place for him to hang out in the kitchen and occasionally take a nap.

Playing happily one minute, asleep the next.

We had a really busy Saturday and he didn't get changed as often as he should have been. His diaper just totally overflowed while we were at the White's house watching a BYU football game. I didn't have an extra outfit, so he got to hang out in his diaper.

It happened again later that afternoon and this was his 3rd outfit of the day. (I realized after this day that he probably needed to be in the next size diaper.)
